Ray E. Morgan

Ray was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, but now considers Montana home. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ray served 10 years in the US Air Force as a military police officer, serving two tours in Iraq. Between 2006-2011, Ray worked as a highway patrolman on the 23-mile stretch of highway near Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, where he specialized in DUI detection and performed drug interdiction duties as lead flight sergeant. For his efforts, Ray was awarded the 2012 Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for the 325th Security Forces Squadron.

Upon leaving the military, Ray enrolled at The University of Providence in Great Falls where he graduated magnum cum laude with a degree in Social Science in May of 2016. During those years, and leading into law school, Ray honed his legal skills working for a local criminal defense firm in Great Falls.

During law school, Ray completed his clinical work through the Montana Innocence Project, where he spent countless hours researching and reviewing cases of wrongfully convicted inmates and assisting with their post-conviction relief. He graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in May of 2019.

Since becoming an attorney, Ray has handled a wide range of civil cases and family law matters.  Additionally, he has worked for a prominent national law firm, where he specialized in conducting e-discovery for class action lawsuits against major pharmaceutical companies.

Ray enjoys spending time outdoors in beautiful Montana with his wife and their 5-year-old daughter. They are expecting their second child in August of 2022.
