Cayle M. Halberg
Cayle M. Halberg grew up in rural northern Minnesota. He spent his high school years wrestling and working on the farm.

He attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. After earning a degree in English and History, Cayle accepted a graduate teaching assistantship with the English Department of Bemidji State University. He taught freshman writing courses and pursued a Master's degree in English.
​
In 2012, Cayle moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend Creighton University School of Law. While there, he developed a love for constitutional law and worked in several capacities for solo practitioners and non-profit organizations.
​
After graduating, Cayle worked briefly as a solo practitioner before accepting a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Earl E. Maus, Judge of the Ninth Judicial District Court in Brainerd, MN. Cayle wrote legal opinions, briefs, and court orders in criminal and civil matters.

Later, Cayle accepted a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Galen J. Vaa, Judge of the Seventh Judicial District Court in Moorhead, MN.
After Judge Vaa's retirement, Cayle was asked to stay on and clerk for several other judges in the Seventh Judicial District.

In 2018, Cayle accepted a position as a public defender in Great Falls, MT.
